I haven’t posted anything here on the blog since the beginning of the month. The funny thing is that it hasn’t even been due to a lack of inspiration. In fact, I’ve jotted down several topics and random thoughts consistently during this time. The sad thing is however, that it has been purely the result of a spirit of procrastination.
Now, I could easily ramble off all the reasons that kept me at bay these past couple of weeks but considering there was nothing too outrageous outside of my usual routine, in all honesty, they’d just be excuses at this point.
As I began to think about it in more detail, which I have a strong tendency to do with most things, it dawned on me just how much time had passed. Here we are, almost at the end of the month and the phrase,
I’ll do it tomorrow…
really doesn’t seem minor anymore. Procrastination is truly the thief of time. It’s very unfortunate that in these cases, some of our best intentions end up being merely an afterthought once it’s all said and done.
Even though this was somewhat of a minor incident, the consequences of such habits can be major. With that being said, it’s imperative that you don’t let procrastination get the best of you. I’m sure we’ve all been here before and if you happen to find yourself in a slump again, the best way to get out of it is to simply take the action necessary to do so.
This post symbolizes my action. What will your action be?
