OUT & ABOUT: Dallas Art Fair, Lunch on the Patio & The Walking Dead

Good Morning Folks…

This past weekend was a good one! Going into it, I felt like things would be hectic but once it got underway everything seemed to fall into place, just the way I like it.

I was able to cover the Dallas Art Fair for ILiveInDallas and had a wonderful time doing so. There was SO much artwork and talent displayed. A personal favorite was the work of Max-Steven Grossman. His Bookscapes series, libraries that exist only in his photographs made me want a collection of my own to hang in the space I’ve been meaning to convert to a library but haven’t quite gotten around to doing yet.

You can read more about my art fair experience here.

Fast forward to Saturday, after running a few errands, the beau and I decided to head over to Matito’s Tex Mex for lunch at their new location inside the Centrum building on Oak Lawn at Cedar Springs. Aside from the wind, it was the perfect day for lunch on the patio and our server kept the Margaritas coming! In an effort to not eat as much as I normally do, I opted for the Taco Salad which still left me ready for a nap afterwards.

With the rain moving in on Sunday and such a busy week, I didn’t have it in me to go absolutely anywhere. Instead, I decided to finish getting caught up on The Walking Dead. To give you an idea of just how much of  a couch potato I was, I managed to get from season one to mid season three thanks to Netflix. Needless to say, I’m hooked!

That’s a wrap for my weekend. Here’s to a great week ahead!
