Sunday Inspiration: Letting People In…

I have always been very careful of who I let into my life…

Because of my past experiences, I would always tend to put people into categories that they sometimes didn’t belong in. But in my mind, they were guilty until proven innocent and proving them innocent was always the hardest thing for me to do.

However, as I got older, I learned that everyone is not the same. I will agree that it does seem most people don’t have good intentions these days, but there are still quite a few of us that do.

While I am a little more open now, I yet encourage people to always be mindful of who they let into their immediate circle but the best advice I can give to anyone struggling with this, myself included, is to pray for a spirit of discernment to guide you in forming new relationships, working on current ones and possibly mending or letting go of old ones.

People come into your life either for a reason, a season or a lifetime.

And speaking from experience…

You never want to push away someone good and miss out on a blessing because of your personal issues. Re-evaluate your relationships and decide which category your friends, family and associates fall into, then treat each one accordingly.

As always…

Be Blessed!
