Sunday Inspiration: Quality Time With God…

I have been lax with my Sunday Inspiration posts because I have admittedly fallen off track spiritually myself and I’ve never been one to speak on things if my own house isn’t in order.

Nevertheless, it’s funny how we are able to rip and run all during the week but seem to forget about the very person who blesses us with the life, health and strength to do it. It dawned on me fore day this morning that just as much as I need quality time with the people I care about here on earth, I certainly need it with my savior!

Not that I didn’t already know this, I just seemed to have gotten off course for a number of irrelevant excuses.

But what if God treated us the way we treat him?

Most of us (myself included) would be in pretty bad shape…

So if you too have shied away from giving God his due time, I encourage you to re-dedicate yourself to him just as I am doing today and I don’t mean just by going to church on Sunday’s either. I mean really investing quality time praying, reading the bible and whatever else it is you need to do to grow in him.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. ~Proverbs 3:5-6

This will be my personal focus for the week as I pray that it will get me back on track for life. I am anticipating the changes I will see in myself and those around me. Thank God for allowing me to come to this realization in sound mind and of good health, not waiting until something is terribly wrong to get myself right.

Be Blessed!

and I’m off to church…
